Philosophy Study Group

Date:
Mon, 06/28/2010 - 7:00pm - 9:00pm

The next meeting of the MISF Philosophy Study Group will be on Monday, June 28, at 7:00 p.m. at Curran’s Restaurant, 42nd and Nicollet in Minneapolis. Once again, we will be studying the philosophy of Charles Sanders Peirce. This time we will be moving from his logic to his semiotic, though Peirce himself thought they were pretty much the same thing. Actually, to examine his entire philosophy is like viewing different facets of the same polyhedron. Thus I think that the articles on logic suggested for the last meeting will work for this one also. In addition, you might want to read his “What Is a Sign?” (<http://www.iupui.edu/%7Epeirce/ep/ep2/ep2book/ch02/ep2ch2.htm>
